Addo Elephant National Park is located in the Eastern Cape, not far from Gqeberha, and is the third largest national park in South Africa. Originally established to protect the last remaining elephants of the region, it has since developed into a park with remarkable diversity in landscapes, wildlife and ecosystems. From dense spekboom bush and open plains to coastal areas, Addo offers exceptional variety within a relatively compact area.

The park is especially famous for its large elephant herds, which can often be observed up close. At the same time, Addo is much more than just an elephant park. In addition to the classic Big Five, it is home to a surprisingly diverse range of wildlife. With well-maintained roads, several camps and a wide range of activities, Addo is an ideal destination for travellers looking to combine safari, nature and flexibility.
