Wildlife in Kruger National Park
Kruger National Park is one of the most wildlife-rich regions in Africa. In addition to the famous Big Five – elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo – many other species such as giraffes, zebras, impalas and hippos can be found here. Due to the park’s diverse landscapes, wildlife is spread across the entire area, making every safari a new discovery.
Predators like lions and leopards are regularly spotted, while hyenas and wild dogs roam through the bush. Particularly impressive are the large elephant herds, often seen near rivers and waterholes. Birdwatchers will also be delighted, as more than 500 bird species are native to Kruger National Park.
