The Suspension Bridge at Storms River Mouth
The suspension bridge at Storms River Mouth is the most iconic landmark of Tsitsikamma National Park and one of the most famous photo spots along the Garden Route. It crosses the dramatic mouth of the Storms River, where the river cuts through a narrow gorge before meeting the Indian Ocean. The path to the bridge follows a scenic boardwalk through coastal forest and along the rocky shoreline, making the journey itself just as memorable as the destination.
The main bridge spans approximately 77 meters across the gorge and offers spectacular views of the water, cliffs and forested slopes. This unique contrast between wild coastline, dense vegetation and the light structure of the bridge is what makes it so special.
